EviPrime Debut
Hannover, Germany – March 3, 2009 -- In
March 2009, Secure 1st debut internationally
its long awaited first fully-in-house- developed
product, EviPrime?,
at CeB IT 2009 - the world’s
largest and most renowned trade fair in the IT and
Telecom industry in Hannover, Germany. EviPrime?
has been designed to help the
investigators and the law enforcements to speed up the
investigation process, to save the number of human
resources involved in the process, and ultimately to
reduce the total cost of the process during course of
the investigation.
Secure 1st
research and development unit initiated its research
more
than two years ago by investigating
the systematic approach that Microsoft’s operating
systems and computer software applications keep
and store those parts of computer data
which can be used as digital evidence in certain
locations in the form of
computer files and folders in a storage device such as
hard disk. The research findings led to the development
EviPrime?.
By automatically accessing all relevant locations,
EviPrime?
user is able to promptly search, extract and store
possible evidence for further analysis. EviPrime?,
with its patented
[i]
methodology, creates a unique platform to extract vital
data from the examine computer. This automated approach
reduces the duration of
logical evidence extraction process and produces more
reliable results compare to other methods.
The application saves and stores the
secured evidence base on the user accounts and the
ownership. This approach gives a fast and reliable
access to the evidence which is related to the account
which is under investigation. In order to assure the
maximum file integrity, the application categorizes
possible evidence in a separate folder based on the
nature of the evidence and produces a report with MD5
checksums for each file. In addition, EviPrime?
provides the investigator with the
valuable information about the computer, network
configuration and the running applications as well as
the open ports to secure as much evidence as possible.
